Becky Knight is the Finds and Environmental Manager for the Postglacial Project, based in the Archaeology Department of the University of York.
“I am a Zooarchaeologist and as part of the project my role is to analyse the human and animal remains collected at the recent prehistoric excavations of Star Carr and Flixton Island in the Vale of Pickering. I find the study of archaeological animal remains and ancient diets fascinating and incredibly varied. I became interested in archaeology at the age of 15 when I went on my first excavation. Needless to say I became hooked, leading me to study archaeology at University.”
