Sarah Rees Jones is a Senior Lecturer in Medieval History and Director of the Institute for the Public Understanding of the Past (IPUP).

“My research has focused on medieval urban history, especially the City of York, often in collaboration with archaeologists. I am particularly interested in social history and its relationship to popular government.”
