Joe Walker
Joe Walker, ACE is a celebrated British film editor working in Los Angeles. Walker has been nominated four times by the ACE Eddie Awards and won most recently for Arrival. In addition to Arrival, this two-time Academy Award® nominee and three-time BAFTA Award nominee is also known for his exemplary work on films such as Sicario, 12 Years a Slave and Blade Runner 2049.
He has forged notable partnerships with directors Steve McQueen and Denis Villeneuve (for whom Walker has just finished editing Dune (2021).)
Walker was initially trained as a classical composer, graduating from the University of York Music Department in 1984. Joe was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University in 2019.
