York Drug Science Society Lecture

Join York's Drug Science Society for an online academic talk with Dr Simon Erridge, Research Director at Curaleaf Clinic.

In this talk, Dr Erridge, will provide a comprehensive overview of the current UK medical cannabis landscape, including prescribing trends, patient access, and the evolving regulatory framework.

He will also share updates on Curaleaf Clinic's latest research findings, offering valuable insights into the therapeutic potential of cannabis-based medicines.

About the speaker

Dr Simon Erridge is a medical doctor who graduated from Imperial College London in 2018 with Distinction in Clinical Practice and Clinical Science. He also completed an intercalated BSc in Surgery and Anaesthesia. Dr. Erridge has published over 80 peer-reviewed articles and is currently a Research Fellow in the Department of Surgery and Cancer at Imperial College London within the Medical Cannabis Research Group.

He is currently completing a PhD studying the effects of medical cannabis on chronic pain. He is also a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Cannabis Research.

At Curaleaf Clinic, a medical cannabis clinic with a goal to make medical cannabis accessible and affordable for all, Dr. Erridge is responsible for the maintenance and strategy of the UK Medical Cannabis Registry as one of the founding doctors and member of the Registry Steering Group.
