Department of Archaeology 2024 Winter Lecture

The Department of Archaeology and University of York in collaboration with the Society of Antiquaries welcomes everyone to our annual Winter Lecture, part of the biannual public lecture series showcasing the exciting research projects that take place at our Department and in global archaeology through our partnerships abroad. This winter we are extremely honoured to have as our speaker Professor Sharada Srinavasan with the lecture:  Exploring Indian Ocean connections in Iron Age-Early Historic Southern India.

About the speaker

Sharada Srinivasan FRAS FAAAS is an archaeologist specializing in the scientific study of art, archaeology, archaeometallurgy and culture. She is a Professor at the National Institute of Advanced Studies, Bangalore, India, and an Honorary University Fellow at the University of Exeter, UK
