Enhanced Audio Description (EAD): Sound design and integrated access
Talk
This event has now finished.
Event details
This presentation introduces Enhanced Audio Description (EAD) and its application to film and television. EAD is an alternative to Audio Description. It moves away from the reliance on words and voices to provide descriptions and instead uses sound design (sound effects, ambiences), audio spatialisation and first person description integrated into the film and television production.
This event is part of York Disability Week 2024.
The work presented is possible thanks to funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
