York Centre for Print Lecture
Continuing the York Centre for Print's occasional series of talks on paper, Professor Helen Smith will give a short talk on early modern paper, a substance that was both commonplace and remarkable. She will explore how and where paper was made, a whole range of surprising uses, and how paper became a philosophical as well as a practical resource.
