About the speaker
Dr. Domna Maria Michailidou
Dr. Domna Maria Michailidou is the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs in Greece, responsible for social welfare and social solidarity. Dr. Michailidou is an academic economist working on economic development and financial crises. She has been Reform’s adviser to the Prime Minister on a series of issues related to structural reforms and financial markets.
She worked for the OECD in Paris and Athens. Between 2010 and 2016 she taught several courses on Macroeconomics and Economic Development at the University of Cambridge and UCL’s School of Public Policy. She holds an MPhil and a PhD on Financial and Development Economics from the University of Cambridge.
