Narrative Knowing/ Récit et Savoir

NarCS members presented two panels on Narrative and Complexity at the 2014 Narrative Matters conference in Paris, between 23rd and 27th June.

The 2014 Narrative Matters conference took place at the University of Paris Diderot between 23rd and 27th June, with the theme "Narrative knowing/Récit et savoir." ICNS members from the NarCS group contributed two panels on narrative and complexity; the full programme is available on the Narrative Matters web page, http://www.aup.edu/news-events/lectures-conferences/narrative-matters-2014.

The Narrative and Complexity panels were proposed by Federico Pianzola, and lined up as follows:

"Film form and systemic knowing"

"Collaborative sense-making complexities of Lost and Breaking Bad
Siim Sorokin (University of Tartu, Estonia)

 

In the event Marina Grishakova was unable to attend for family reasons, both panels were well attended and generated good discussions. The organizers propose to publish the conference proceedings on the HAL - Open Archives portal.

CFP: Narrative Matters 2014

Participate in the 7th Narrative Matters conference from 23rd to 27th June 2014 in Paris.

The 7th Narrative Matters conference will be held at the University of Paris Diderot and the American University of Paris between 23rd and 27th June 2014, with the theme "narrative knowing/récit et savoir." Proposals for papers or panels are invited, to be submitted online by 15th November. ICNS members from the NarCS group are already proposing two panels on narrative and complexity; others interested should see the Narrative Matters website, http://www.aup.edu/news-events/lectures-conferences/narrative-matters-2014.
