Members of the international Narrative and Complex Systems network met on the 15th of July for a stimulating 3-day workshop focussed upon work towards a forthcoming volume of essays entitled "Narrating Complexity."

The annual conference of the International Society for the Study of Narrative was held in Manchester this year, bringing over 400 narrative scholars from around the world to the UK. Among the ICNS participants were members of the both the NarCS group and the fictionality group.

The 2012 graduate summer school of the Intensive Programme in Narratology took place in Aarhus, Denmark, from the 5th to the 18th of August. Richard Walsh contributed two sessions on fictionality.
