Speaker(s): Professor Les Back
Department of Sociology, Goldsmith's College, University of London
Recalling C Wright Mills' discussion of the role of sociology in the Sociological Imagination (1959), this seminar explores why sociology is needed in our time. How are our commitments in the 21st Century different from Mills' time and how we might think of the role and purpose of sociological research and practice today?
Location: W/222, Wentworth College
