Postgraduate open afternoon

Wednesday 18 November 2015, 1.00PM to 4.45pm

An information event for prospective postgraduates in the departments of Archaeology (old)English and Related Literature (old)History, Language and Linguistic Science, Music, Philosophy (old), Theatre, Film, Television and Interactive Media and the Centre for Medieval Studies, Centre for Renaissance and Early Modern Studies, Centre for Eighteenth Century Studies and Centre for Modern Studies.

The event will offer prospective students the opportunity to find out about MA programmes and PhD study in these departments and centres. There will be talks throughout the afternoon and you will be able to speak to programme convenors and current students, and ask questions about the application process and funding opportunities.

The event will be held in the Berrick Saul Building, home to the Humanities Research Centre (HRC) - a unique interdisciplinary resource for arts and humanities postgraduates at York.  The afternoon will begin with a talk about the HRC by the Deputy Director, Dr Kate Giles. 

Refreshments will be available on arrival, and the afternoon will end with tea and cakes.
