Judith did her BA and various MA in the United States and in 2000 returned to graduate studies at the Centre for Medieval Studies at York completing her MA in Medieval Studies and her PhD in History. She was a technical editor and research assistant on the Christianity & Culture Project from 2005 until 2010. She has been an honorary visiting fellow of the Department of History since 2010. She teaches with the Centre of Life Long Learning on subjects related to medieval monasticism.
Judith Frost’s research interests focus on the individuals within monastic communities in England particularly the Regular Canons who followed the Rule of St Augustine. Her prosopographical approach means her resources span the ecclesiastical and political corpus. She is preparing an edition of a monastic cartulary for publication.
