In my paper I will consider some interesting, if unusual, examples of portable and transnational textuality, drawing on the research undertaken under the aegis of the Leverhulme Pilgrim Libraries project. In this presentation, I will present a small number of detailed examples - including the journeys of Henry of Derby, and the Lewkenor Hours - to consider where and how medieval pilgrims read and wrote.
