Kathleen Ryan Excellence Scholarship

Scholarships will be awarded to up to three students who achieved the highest credit-weighted scores over all the previous year's Maths modules.

Eligibility

Open to UK (home) students only.

Open to students in the Department of Mathematics.

Eligible students will satisfy all of the following criteria:

  1. Studying Mathematics on either a single-subject or joint-degree programme, and about to enter Year 2, 3 or 4. (For the purposes of this scholarship, joint-degree students are those studying a ‘Maths + Something’ degree.)
  2. In receipt of a York Bursary.
  3. Achieved a credit-weighted score of at least 70 per cent over all Maths modules that they took in the previous academic year.
  4. Achieved at least 80 per cent “engagement” for all Maths modules that they took in the previous academic year (with flexibility given for documented disability).
