I joined the Department of Mathematics of York in 2024 as an EPSRC Fellow.
Before, I obtained my PhD from the University of Nottingham (2016), under the supervision of Prof Jorma Louko in the School of Mathematical Sciences, and I held a number of postdoctoral positions between 2016 and 2024 at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Namely, between 2016-2018 as a PDRA at the Institute of Nuclear Science (ICN), between 2018-2020 as a DGAPA Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Research in Applied Mathematics and Systems (IIMAS), and between 2020-2024 as a CONACYT Postdoctoral Fellow again at the Institute of Nuclear Science.
My main interest is to understand the interface and interactions between quantum theory and
gravitation in mathematically precise and conceptually clear terms.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My project ‘Semiclassical gravity: conceptual and mathematical foundations’ funded by EPSRC (EP/Y014510/1), is concerned with rigorously pinpointing the structural properties of semiclassical gravity, which describes how quantum matter fields and the gravitational field interact in the semiclassical regime of quantum gravity. The project also deals with the rigorous study of certain important semiclassical systems, such as radiating black holes.
