Biography
I was an undergraduate at the University of Melbourne before moving to Brown University, where I completed my PhD in 2006. Before moving to York I held positions at Johns Hopkins University, the University of Colorado and the National University of Singapore.

Research
Overview
I study the topology and geometry of moduli spaces that arise in gauge theory, such as moduli spaces of Higgs bundles and quiver varieties. My research uses a range of techniques, with an emphasis on Morse theory and geometric flows.

Available PhD research projects
Morse theory is a beautiful subject with a long history of applications to different problems in topology and geometry. My main current interest is Morse theory on singular spaces with applications to moduli spaces of Higgs bundles and quiver varieties. These spaces have a particularly rich structure with many connections to different areas of mathematics and physics, and I am available to supervise projects around these topics
