I obtained my Bachelor degrees in Mathematics and Physics & Astronomy, as well as a Master degree in Physics at Radboud University in the Netherlands. After obtaining my PhD in Theoretical Physics at the University of Leipzig, I took up a postdoc here in York.

Symmetry and measurement: a foundation for semi-local quantum physics.
The long term aim of this project is to develop a framework for semi-local quantum physics. Such a framework should extend the algebraic quantum field theory framework to include a description of semi-local observables, such as relational observables, dressed observables and asymptotic/boundary observables which play a role in gauge theories and quantum gravity. One particular aspect that we wish to address, is to what extent such observables are measurable by a relativistic quantum measurement scheme.
