Alice Dell'Arciprete

Profile

Biography

I am currently a Research Associate at the Department of Mathematics at the University of York working with Dr Chris Bowman-Scargill on KLR algebras and their categorification. I joined the University of York thanks to the LMS Early Career Fellowship in July 2023.

I did my PhD at the University of East Anglia under the supervision of Dr Sinéad Lyle. My PhD project is about representation theory of the Ariki-Koike algebras.

University roles

I was a Tutor in Mathematics at the University of East Anglia from October 2023 to July 2023.

Research

Overview

My research interests lie in representation theory of symmetric groups, Iwahori–Hecke algebras, Ariki-Koike algebras and KLR algebras.

Tensor and wreath products for symmetric groups

Projects

My research interests lie in categorical Lie theory and combinatorics. This includes the study of the representation theories of the symmetric groups, KLR algebras, Hecke categories, and Khovanov arc algebras. I examine blocks of Ariki-Koike algebras, in an attempt to generalise the combinatorial representation theory of Iwahori-Hecke algebras of the symmetric group. Also, in collaborative work with Chris Bowman, Maud De Visscher, Amit Hazi and Catharina Stroppel, I investigate the submodule structure of projective modules of Khovanov arc algebras with the aim of providing its complete characterisation.
