Funded PhD studentships in Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics has a number of fully funded PhD studentships available for UK students.
Fully funded studentships for UK students will be available for entry to the PhD programme in September 2024.
We are an inclusive department - our research ranges from highly abstract pure mathematics to applied interdisciplinary work and cutting-edge statistics and data science. We are especially keen to recruit people to work in aeroacoustics, applied statistics and stochastic analysis.
Furthermore, we are interested in people from a range of backgrounds. Informal queries can be directed to Jon Pitchford at jon.pitchford@york.ac.uk
If you would like to be considered, please apply online before 31st January 2024. Late applications will be considered subject to availability of studentships.
There is also a Mathematics PhD studentship, 'More or less: connecting biodiversity and complexity in multi-scale global trade models' in the Leverhulme Centre for Anthropocene Biology under the supervision of Professor Jon Pitchford and Dr Simon Croft. The closing date for this studentship only is 8 January 2024.
