The Department welcomes back Craig Miller, who is joining us on a six-month London Mathematical Society Early Career Fellowship.
These fellowships are awarded to promising researchers to support their work during the transition between PhD and postdoctoral positions. Craig will be joining our Algebra Research Group, working closely with Prof. Victoria Gould. Craig graduated with an MMath from York in 2016 before moving to St Andrews, where he recently completed his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Nik Ruškuc. Both Craig’s MMath project, and his PhD thesis, are in the area of finitary conditions for monoids and monoid acts. Craig and Vicky will be looking at some specific new challenges in this area.
