Two of our tutors have found publishing success in recent months. Published by Eyewear Publishing in December 2017, In The Particular is a poetry pamphlet by Martin Potter - ‘a collection of quests, in words, for the transcendent’. Martin delves into ideas such as liturgy and pilgrimage in an exploration of sacred history, weaving together into their own Gregorian chants.
In a similar, but very different vein, we look ahead to May 2018, when a volume edited by Elisa Foster will be published. Entitled Devotional Interaction in Medieval England and its Afterlives, this collection of essays explores the interaction between medieval English worshippers and the material objects that they are devoted to. A multidisciplinary volume, It incorporates site-specific research with the insights of scholars of visual art, literature, music, liturgy, ritual, and church history.
