From September, the Centre for Lifelong Learning is excited to be delivering the established PGDip in Parish Church Studies: History, Heritage and Fabric programme in association with the Churches Conservation Trust (CCT).
The distinctive partnership will provide students with unprecedented access to local sites and valuable resources as well as discounted membership to the Trust and opportunities for work placements.
The CCT is the national charity dedicated to heritage conservation and regeneration. The Trust has saved over 350 buildings and carefully ensured that they are kept in use and enjoyed by over two million yearly visitors as cultural, social, tourism and education resources, in the heart of communities. On account of their wide collection of listed and Scheduled Ancient Monuments, the Trust operates the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK.
Our PGDip in Parish Church Studies: History, Heritage and Fabric is an interdisciplinary online qualification that allows students to gain an academic grounding in a breadth of key issues, themes and contexts associated with the changing nature of parishes and parish churches. Through the partnership, students will benefit from a wealth of new and unique opportunities to study and explore the buildings at the centre of their course first-hand.
