Saturday 15 February 2025, 10.00AM to 1.00pm
Speaker(s): Peter Morrall BA MSc PGCE PhD
Why do some people kill other people? Are they mad, bad, or otherwise normal individuals caught up in specific situations that lead them to commit murder? Is it the fault of the individual (his/her biological or psychological make-up) or society (for example, inequality, abuse, or gun ownership)? In this Saturday course, there is an introduction to some of the ideas from the various disciplines which attempt to answer these questions. Specific cases from the past and present are inspected using these ideas.
