Friday 25 April 2025, 2.00PM to 4.00pm
Speaker(s): Sam Dickson PhD
What is knowledge? We all think that we know a lot of things: we know that 2+2=4 for example. But what are the conditions for knowledge? What distinguishes knowledge from a hunch that happens to be correct or a lucky guess? This course is centered around these questions. We’ll discuss an overview of the debate and discuss various attempts at defining knowledge, and the problems with them.
