Speaker(s): Jacob O’Sullivan MA

An open book with different coloured speech bubbles above it

What is fiction? What, if anything, can we learn from fiction? Is fiction about things that don’t exist, or do they just represent things existing in different ways? In this session we will explore answers to these questions and others. We will look at some of the ways philosophers have tried to explicate this everyday concept and the problems that they run into along the way.
