Saturday 1 February 2025, 10.00AM to 4.30pm
Speaker(s): Daniel Gustafsson PhD
This one-day course looks at philosophical attempts, both eastern and western, to rethink the nature of ultimate reality beyond the classical theism-atheism divide. Particular attention will be given to Process Theology, to the Buddhist-inspired Kyoto School, and more generally to varieties of so-called non-theism and panentheism. We will use examples from art and culture, as well as from philosophy and theology, to explore the existential issues at stake.
