This course introduces the study of Ethics, focusing on fundamental questions about right and wrong, justice, and moral responsibility. We will explore key ethical theories, including utilitarianism, deontology, and virtue ethics, examining questions such as 'What makes an action morally right?', 'Is morality subjective or objective?', and 'What are our obligations to others?'. Through discussions of historical and contemporary texts, students will develop the skills to critically analyse and apply ethical principles in various contexts.
