An open book on a grassy lawn with daisies

Nature writing has continued to gain popularity in recent years, raising questions about our relationship to the environment and the non-human world. In this course, we will explore these topics by reading essays, extracts and short fiction by both emerging and established nature writers. We will discuss nature writing across different time periods and contexts, including works by Kathleen Jamie, Robin Wall Kimmerer, Polly Atkin, Roger Deakin, Robert Macfarlane and Elizabeth-Jane Burnett.
