From Ulysses to Normal People, this course offers a comprehensive exploration of modern Irish Literature from the beginning of the twentieth century to the present day. Students will engage with a diverse range of texts and authors, from celebrated figures like WB Yeats, James Joyce, and Samuel Beckett, through to contemporary Irish writers such as Claire Keegan and Sally Rooney, and explore the historical and cultural contexts in which these works were produced.
