Using the translation by Simon Armitage, we shall read and discuss Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. With its scintillating narrative and plot twists, not to mention characters with relationship and trust issues, it is easy to see the enduring appeal of the poem. But what about the medieval context and motifs of the poem? What is its pertinence to the modern world? What are its themes? Join us to explore possible answers to these and other questions.
