This is a course for anyone interested in visual poetry, whether you are a complete beginner or have written some poetry before. In this one-day workshop you will explore a range of visual poetry examples, encountering the best among contemporary visual poets and small arts presses as inspiration for your own work. In the morning, you will explore ways of writing with collage, using vintage and second-hand books as material and provocation. And in the afternoon, you will compose your own visual poetry pamphlet of found text and image.
