The Medieval Parish Churches of England

Monday 19 April 2021, 7.00PM to 9.00pm

Speaker(s): Karen Brett BA MA PhD

Parish churches were being built, extended and rebuilt throughout the medieval period. Was their development due to a desire to keep up with the latest architectural fashions or was it simply a consequence of increasing parishioner numbers? And most importantly, who was paying for it all? Together we will address these questions by examining both historical documents and the standing buildings themselves.
