Medieval Star-Crossed Lovers: Abelard and Heloise

The most brilliant master of the twelfth century fell in love with a no less brilliant student, who reciprocated his love. Theirs, however, is not only a story of romance but one marked with tragedy.  This half-day course will study their famous affair against the backdrop of the ‘Twelfth-Century Renaissance’.
