Your Academic Liaison Librarian 

Every department or school has a designated Academic Liaison Librarian who can help you to identify specific resources for your subject and talk to you about tools and techniques to make the most effective use of what the Library has to offer. If you need help with your research you can meet with your Librarian for a 1:1 appointment in the Orange Pod; to book an appointment follow the link from your department or school’s Subject Guide.

IT Support 

You can also access IT Support within our building. To book an appointment with a member of IT Support in the Green Pod get in touch with IT Support online.

Printers

To the right of the pods you will see one of the many printers that are located around our buildings. To use these printers you need to set up an account with York Print Plus. Once you have done that you will be able to send documents from your device to any printer on campus.

Final stop: the Fairhurst

To reach the last point of our tour continue down the corridor away from the main Library foyer and through the link into our final building, the Harry Fairhurst Library. Keep going down the corridor, passing a large PC classroom and the John Paynter Music Library on your right, until you reach the hallway at the end. On the left of this hallway you will see the Library’s Audio Visual Collection. Feel free to explore any of these areas further, then proceed to the 1st floor of the Fairhurst using either the stairs straight ahead, or the lift to your right, to find Point 10.
