Point 8 on the self-guided library tour

Welcome to the Burton! Continue up the stairs to find a fantastic silent working space.

Details of the Burton on our Point 8 video.

Floor 0

You are now on the ground floor of the Raymond Burton Library, in which you'll find, to your right, the Family Study Room.

Floor 1

The Burton houses our humanities research collections for reference use only in the Silent Zone reading room, which offers a focused environment for single study where all desks and pod chairs are bookable. The Borthwick Institute for Archives can also be found on this floor, allowing you the chance to get hands-on with 1,000 years' worth of history.

Floor 2

The Samuel Storey Exhibition Gallery and Lifelong Learning Rooms are on Floor 2.

Next stop: one-to-one support

Further QR codes around these spaces will tell you more about them so we encourage you to explore these in your own time, but for now retrace your route straight across the Morrell foyer to find Point 9 by the large green and orange pods opposite the main staircase.
