LibInspo: Your Library. Your Way.

What is LibInspo?

LibInspo is an occasional contest where we offer students the opportunity to work with us to shape our services and to improve the experience of fellow students for years to come. The winner gets a cash-prize, an amazing thing to put on their CV, and of course to work with us as we do our best to make their idea reality.

A lot of the library's most popular innovations have come from previous LibInspo competitions: the Living Room, the Family Study Room and our Sensory Rooms to name a just few.

How do I enter?

Read all the info on the LibInspo webpages, craft your idea and submit via the form - by midnight on Monday 6 January. Any student at York can enter the competition.

What sort of ideas are you looking for?

The judging committee is made up of both library staff, members of York Student Union, and other staff around the University. They're looking innovative, original ideas that are realistic and feasible for us to implement in the library. They don't have to be physical spaces in our buildings - for example being able to book study spaces in the MyUoY App is a former successful LibInspo idea. On the webpage listed above you can see all sorts of useful info, including notes on what makes a good entry, and a list of previous ideas we've put into action.
