Welcome to our Graduate Engagement Leads for Open Research
The Open Research team welcomes three postgraduate researchers, Kirralise Hansford (Psychology), Luqman Muraina (Interdisciplinary Global Development) and Melissa Kays (Archaeology), in a newly-created 12-month role as Graduate Engagement Leads for Open Research.
Kirralise, Luqman and Melissa will be working with the Library and practitioners across the University to develop training, advocacy and community-building initiatives for open research.
They will bring their own insights, experience and enthusiasm to this role, building on the Library’s recent work creating an Open Research Skills Framework; establishing a successful Awards scheme and grassroots Advocates network for open research at York.
We look forward to sharing their work throughout the year, including events, case studies and new resources to encourage and support staff and students interested in engaging with open research.
This area of activity has been prioritised by the Open Research Strategy Group, approved at University Research Committee and funded through Research England’s Enhancing Research Culture funding allocation.
Further information about the University’s commitments, governance and support for open research can be found at Open research at York.
