York Law School is an internationally renowned centre for legal research, with strengths in doctrinal, interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches. Supervisors at York include experts in a broad range of practice-based areas, as well as scholars with outstanding reputations for socio-legal, comparative and legal-theoretical work.
All academic staff and postgraduate researchers are located in at least one of our various research clusters, which facilitate ongoing collaboration and discussion within the School, and aim to push the accepted boundaries of legal research. We welcome proposals from candidates from a range of personal and professional backgrounds.
