Date: October 2015 - September 2017
Researcher: Professor Matt Matravers
This project was funded in part by the British Academy, a seminar grant from The Modern Law Review, and the Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities at Cambridge.
Professor Matravers worked with Claes Lernestedt (Stockholm), Marianne Kristiansson (Senior Forensic Psychiatric Consultant; Professor of Forensic Psychiatry, Karolinska Institute, Stockholm), and Matt Kramer (Law, Cambridge).
This project brought together a number of international researchers in workshops in York, Cambridge, and Stockholm, to address what follows for criminal responsibility (and responsibility more generally) from the latest scientific findings in neuroscience.
The papers that resulted from these workshops have been collected in a volume currently being considered for publication by Oxford University Press.
