Stefano Faraoni graduated with honours from the Faculty of Law, University of Turin, and has been a practising lawyer (Avvocato) registered with the Turin Bar since 2006. He practised in civil and criminal law and later specialised in international contract law. He is a Turin Bar Commission on Artificial Intelligence member. Since 2018, he has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Turin, Italy. Willing to pursue an academic career, in 2021, he started a PhD at the University of York on how contract law should regulate Manipulative Persuasive Technology led by an Artificial Intelligence system. He is currently researching the legal aspects connected to the use of Digital Twins.
My research delves into Artificial Intelligence, its possible regulation and its impact on existing legal categories, at the national, EU and international level. I am particularly interested in the use of Persuasive Technology and of Digital Twins, and their impact in fields such as contract law and fundamental rights.
