Profile
Biography
I joined the University of York in March 2025 as a Research Fellow and member of the Core Team in the Administrative Fairness Lab.
I was previously a Lecturer in Law at Liverpool Hope University (2021-25) and, prior to this, completed a PhD at the University of Liverpool (2016-21), funded by the AHRC North West Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership.
My research interests lie primarily in the fields of UK constitutional and administrative law, counter-terrorism and security law, and human rights law.

Projects
I am currently working on a research project with Dr Jed Meers and Professor Joe Tomlinson focused on the DWP's 'Targeted Case Review' process. This project - part of a collaboration between the Welfare Benefits Unit and the Administrative Fairness Lab, funded by the Legal Education Foundation - examines the roll out and claimant experiences of the Targeted Case Review process, which is due to affect as many as 2 million Universal Credit claimants in the coming years.
