Christos Metaxas

Graduate Teaching Assistant
I joined the University of York as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in 2022, while pursuing an LLM in Globalisation & Law with a specialisation in International Trade & Investment Law at Maastricht University. In 2024, I qualified as an Advocate in the Republic of Cyprus, where I regularly appeared before civil and criminal courts while also providing extensive legal opinions and conducting research on complex legal issues.
In addition to teaching undergraduate students in foundational areas of law, I currently serve as a Legal and Policy Trainee Officer at the European Commission, contributing to compliance assessments, legal analysis, and the formulation as well as evaluation of relevant policy initiatives.
