The Generating Respect Project contributes to Geneva Peace Week 2021
The Generating Respect Project contributes to Geneva Peace Week 2021 - Monday 1-Friday 5 November
The Generating Respect Project hosted at the University of York’s Centre for Applied Human Rights and York Law School is delighted to have collaborated with the International Center for Religion and Diplomacy, Inclusive Peace, the United States Institute of Peace, and Geneva Call in the production of the digital series A Leap of Faith: Effective Engagement between Religious Actors, Humanitarians, and Peacebuilders.
Geneva Peace Week is a leading annual forum in the international peacebuilding calendar, and the flagship event of the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform. The Geneva Peace Week 2021 aims to galvanise leadership, build trust and contribute to transforming international cooperation.
In addition to Online Workshops, which take place between 1-5 November 2021, Digital Series feature contributions in which organizers develop their peacebuilding expertise, research, stories, and panel discussions into digital formats (videos, podcasts, and other media) that can be continuously engaged with beyond Geneva Peace Week.
The Leap of Faith digital series comprises:
- A framework article by Alex Bramble, Researcher/Analyst, Inclusive Peace and Dr Ioana Cismas, Reader, York Law School & Centre for Applied Human Rights
- The digital story Madame Cissé, prédicatrice de l'équité which draws on fieldwork undertaken by the Generating Respect Project team in Mali in 2021, and
- The digital story A Leap of Faith: Religious Actors in Peacemaking and Peacebuilding which portrays findings from the Religious Actors in Official Peace Processes Project.
