York Papers in Linguistics

The York Papers in Linguistics is the University of York Language and Linguistics Science department’s online journal edited, published and organised by students. We publish papers from both students and academic staff based in our department, York Alumni, works presented at conferences at the University of York or collaborations with University members.

The YPL publishes research from all fields of linguistics, including but not limited to:

  • Psycholinguistics/neurolinguistics
  • Language acquisition/bilingualism
  • Forensic speech science
  • Language variation and change
  • Phonetics and phonology
  • Syntax and semantics
  • Pragmatics
  • Prosody
  • Interaction and conversation analysis

We accept submissions all year round and send regular calls for papers throughout the academic year. Publication in YPL does not in any way prejudice future publication elsewhere.

If you would like to submit a paper, have any questions, or get involved, please visit our website or email us at ypl@york.ac.uk.
