Lauren Harrington
Postdoctoral Research Associate

Lauren's research interests are in forensic speech science, sociophonetics and speech technology. Her PhD investigated the production of transcripts of evidential audio recordings within the criminal justice system, exploring methods of transcription by forensic phonetics experts, non-expert police transcribers and automatic speech recognition systems. She finished her PhD shortly before starting her role as a Postdoctoral Research Associate on the ESRC funded project 'Person-specific automatic speaker recognition'.
