LLS student Ariana Dubov awarded a commendation in the University of Warwick Undergraduate Translation Prize 2025

One of our final-year undergraduate students, Ariana Dubov, has been awarded a commendation in the Spanish section of the University of Warwick Undergraduate Translation Prize 2025 for her translation of an excerpt from Bibiana Candia's Azucre.Una epopeya.

With over 200 entrants across five languages, the competition was exceptionally strong. As stated on the University of Warwick website, entry is open to final-year undergraduate students of Modern Languages at UK universities – this includes Single Honours, Joint Honours, and any programme in which one or more languages forms a substantial component. The competition this year was for translation from Chinese, French, German, Italian and Spanish into English.
