Parlay Conference 2019

The 6th annual Postgraduate Academic Researchers in Linguistics at York Conference was a huge success.

The Postgraduate Academic Researchers in Linguistics at York (PARLAY) Conference was successfully held in the Berrick Saul Building on 6th September. Returning for its 6th edition this year, PARLAY hosted presenters from universities in England, Scotland, France and Spain, who shared their research in a wide range of areas in linguistics and received valuable feedback from their peers.

Research in York was well represented by PhD researchers in our Department, including Aljawharah AlZamil, Marina Cantarutti, Rongkun Liu, Umar Muhammad, Heather Turner, Maria Gabriela Valenzuela, as well as Stewart Cooper from the Department of Education. Delegates also enjoyed two plenary talks from Ghada Khattab (Newcastle University) and Adam Schembri (University of Birmingham). We look forward to welcoming you in York again next year!
