ConSOLE conference in York

University of York and York St John University team up to host international student linguistics conference.

The 24th Conference of the Student Organisation of Linguistics in Europe (ConSOLE XXIV) took place in York last week. Students from a total of 14 countries attended, with delegates travelling from as far away as Japan. The programme included talks by several current and former students of the Department of Language and Linguistic Science - Katherina Walper Gormaz, Anna Bruggemann, Eloi Puig Mayenco, Andy Law, and James Tompkinson (pictured) - and was rounded off by a keynote lecture by Prof. Paul Kerswill.
