The roundtable 'Mexico amidst new horizons', led by PhD students from the Latin American Society, opened the event. Ambassador Estivill's public lecture then followed with an emphasis on Mexico's socio-economic relationships with the world as well as on the objectives for the Dual Year (2015) between Mexico and the United Kingdom whereby both countries will be promoting further bilateral cooperations in the areas of culture, education, science, tourism and gastronomy, among others. At a final roundtable, students had the opportunity to discuss Mexico's cultural, social and political realities in the world today.
The Mexican Embassy is keen to explore opportunities to promote the study of Spanish language and for students to consider Mexico as a destination for boosting their international experience.
This event was organised by Dr Elia Lorena Lopez, Teaching Fellow in Spanish.
